- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 2 tablespoons hot water, not boiling
- 1 cup cold or lukewarm water
- 1 ½ cup milk of choice, cow's milk, almond milk, or oat milk (divided)
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
- ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small bowl or cup, combine the matcha powder with hot water and whisk until a paste forms.
- Add the cold or lukewarm water and honey or agave syrup. Mix until smooth and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
- Fill two glasses with ice cubes and pour in ¾ cup of milk into each.
- Remove the chilled matcha mixture from the fridge and pour over the milk. Stir well and enjoy.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/agave syrup to taste.
Experiment with different types of milk for varied flavor profiles.
Serving this iced latte with a sprinkle of matcha on top adds a nice presentation.
