Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 2 tablespoons hot water, not boiling
  • 1 cup cold or lukewarm water
  • 1 ½ cup milk of choice, cow's milk, almond milk, or oat milk (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
  • ice cubes


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or cup, combine the matcha powder with hot water and whisk until a paste forms.
  2. Add the cold or lukewarm water and honey or agave syrup. Mix until smooth and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Fill two glasses with ice cubes and pour in ¾ cup of milk into each.
  4. Remove the chilled matcha mixture from the fridge and pour over the milk. Stir well and enjoy.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/agave syrup to taste.
Experiment with different types of milk for varied flavor profiles.
Serving this iced latte with a sprinkle of matcha on top adds a nice presentation.
