Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cup rice krispie cereal
- 1 (11 oz) bag caramel bits
- 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Once melted, mix in the rice krispies, then pour half of the mixture into the lined baking pan.
- Spread into an even layer and chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to harden the chocolate.
- In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel bits and heavy whipping cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted caramel on top of the chilled chocolate and spread into an even layer.
- Place dollops of the remaining chocolate and rice krispie mixture over the caramel layer, then carefully spread to cover it.
- Return the pan to the refrigerator until completely hardened, about 1 hour. Cut into squares and enjoy chilled or at room temperature!
Notes
For a thicker layer, use a smaller baking pan.
Ensure the chocolate and caramel layers are well chilled before adding the next layer for best results.
