Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • oil as needed for greasing
  • 1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning (optional)
  • chopped fresh parsley (to garnish, optional)


Instructions

  1. Combine lemon juice, olive oil, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning in a bowl or Ziploc bag.
  2. Add the chicken tenders and toss until they are well coated.
  3. Marinate the chicken for at least 10 minutes, or up to 2 hours, in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly grease the grates.
  5. Place the marinated tenders on the grill and cook for 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove from the grill, let them rest for several minutes, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Adjust the marinade time according to your schedule; even a short marination works well.
